| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely occupied by a multi-line Persian poetic legend in Nasta'liq script, arranged in three registers across the field without a central cartouche, filling the coin's surface. The inscription reads a verse referencing the sun and moon as gold and silver in the world, struck in the name of the Imam, rightful Lord of the Age (Sahib al-Zaman), a Shi'a messianic invocation standard on Zand coinage. Scattered pellet ornaments punctuate the calligraphic text throughout the field. No border of pellets is present on this face, leaving the inscription to extend nearly to the flan's edge. |
