| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a multi-line Persian religious inscription in flowing nastaliq script, filling the entire field. The legend reads a poetic verse proclaiming that the sun and moon of gold and silver in the world derive their authority from the seal of the Imam, the rightful Sahib al-Zaman (Lord of the Age). The calligraphy is rendered in bold, deeply struck strokes characteristic of Zand-period hammered coinage, with the text arranged in sweeping diagonal bands across the field. |
