Reverse description Central field displays a stylised Shiva lingam with a flame emerging from its apex, set upon a double-lotus pedestal, a characteristic devotional motif of the Shah dynasty coinage of Nepal. Devanagari inscriptions in multiple registers surround the central device, with dot ornaments punctuating the field at cardinal points. The design is contained within a plain inner circle and a continuous beaded border, consistent with the hand-struck hammered technique employed at the Kathmandu mint during this period.
