Opmerkingen

Bismarckhütte was an industrial settlement in Upper Silesia — at the time of this note's issue, the region's political future was genuinely unresolved, with plebiscite agitation already underway and the League of Nations still deliberating what would become the 1921 partition between Germany and Poland. Municipal notgeld of this type wasn't merely a response to small-coin shortages; in Upper Silesia it also carried a quiet assertion of local German civic identity during a period when that identity was being formally contested.

The Fuhrmann and Körner signatures indicate dual administrative authorization, consistent with Gemeinde-issued paper rather than a commercial house issue.
