| Reverse description | Hammered copper flan with a three-line Arabic inscription filling the field, divided by horizontal linear bands. The legend reads 'Sultan of the land and the sea' accompanied by the Hijri date 1300, corresponding to 1883 CE. The inscription is struck in bold raised relief typical of Maldivian hand-struck minor coinage of the period. The flan edges are irregular and the surface exhibits the characteristic uneven strike of hammered technique. Traces of original copper surface with areas of light green patination are visible. |
