Obverse description Central field displays the quartered episcopal coat of arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, surmounted by a princely crown. The shield, incorporating the traditional Franconian rake and additional heraldic quarters, is flanked on either side by ornamental palm or laurel branches that curve symmetrically around the arms and are tied at the base. The coin's border is defined by a continuous milled or beaded rim.
