Obverse description Central field displays the Baden arms: a quartered shield bearing the diagonal bend of Baden in the upper-left and lower-right quarters, and a field of bezants (roundels) in the remaining quarters, all within a wreath of two crossed palm or laurel branches. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown with arches and orb. No legend appears on the obverse. The coin has a milled (reeded) border rim.
