Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Baden-Durlach, consisting of a shield charged with the diagonal bar of Baden, surmounted by a princely crown. Flanking the shield on either side are decorative foliate branches, rendered in a baroque style typical of German minor coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. No peripheral legend is present on this face.

Reverse description Four-line Latin inscription occupying the central field, enclosed within an ornate cartouche with foliate scrollwork borders. The uppermost line carries the fractional denomination numeral, followed by the abbreviation KREUZ. denoting Kreuzer, then the initials F.B.L.M. (Fürstlich Badisch Landes Münze, or the territorial mint attribution), and finally the date 1766 at the base of the cartouche.
