Reverse description The fraction 1/4, denoting the denomination in guilders, is displayed prominently in the center of the field, surmounted by a royal crown. The central device is encircled by a wreath of oak branches tied at the base, with sprigs extending symmetrically on either side. The circumferential legend UNITED COLONY OF DEMERARY & ESSEQUIBO arcs around the upper portion of the field, while the date 1835 appears in the lower exergual area between the wreath ties. A beaded inner border surrounds the entire composition.
