The date and ducal title legend encircle the cross in the surrounding border, separated by pellets or stops. The cross arms are clearly defined with decorative fleur-de-lis ends, consistent with Savoyard heraldic tradition. The entire composition is struck on a roughly circular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the period. |
