| 背面描述 | A bold cross pattée with trefoil (cloverleaf) terminals at each arm occupies the central field, contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend A DO FACTVM EST ISTVD, a biblical phrase from Psalm 118:23 meaning 'This is the Lord's doing,' is inscribed in Gothic characters around the periphery. The overall design is characteristic of late 15th-century Savoyard hammered coinage. |

Philibert I inherited Savoy at age seven in 1472 under the regency of his mother Yolande of France, and the duchy's coinage during his reign reflects that administrative instability — multiple monetary ordinances were issued in quick succession as regency authorities attempted to stabilize a currency that had been debased under his father Amadeus IX. This quarter groschen belongs to that uncertain decade before Philibert died in 1482, still only seventeen years old, having never effectively ruled in his own right.
