| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a plain inner circle, a bold Latin cross divides the field into four quarters, with the letter I (standing for Iohannes, i.e. John) placed in the second quarter. The cross is rendered in high relief, typical of medieval hammered coinage, with each arm extending to the inner circle. A Latin legend in Gothic lettering runs clockwise around the inner circle, separated by annulets, identifying the issuer as Count of Albon. The composition is austere and heraldic, consistent with Dauphiné feudal coinage of the early fourteenth century. |
