| Obverse description | Bust of Amadeus VIII facing right, depicted in profile within a beaded inner circle. The ruler wears an elaborate crested helmet adorned with prominent radiating plumes, rendered in the Gothic style typical of late 14th to early 15th century Savoyard coinage. The truncation of the bust is visible at the bottom of the inner field. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs between the inner beaded circle and the outer rim: AMED CO SABAVDIE. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a bold cross pattée inscribed within a lozenge (diamond), itself set within a plain circle, all surrounded by a beaded inner border. Four small annulets are placed in the angles between the lozenge and the circle. The overall design is characteristic of Savoyard feudal coinage of the period. The circular legend in uncial Latin characters reads IN ITALIA MARCHIO, referring to Amadeus VIII's title as Marquis in Italy, and runs between the beaded inner circle and the outer rim. |
