| Reverse description | The reverse displays a quartered heraldic shield of Brabant, bearing lions passant or rampant in each of the four quadrants, rendered in the bold, schematic style typical of late 13th-century Low Countries coinage. The shield is centrally positioned in the field, flanked by partial remnants of the surrounding legend in uncial lettering. A small annulet or crown device appears above the shield. The flan is irregular with a chip to the lower right, consistent with hammered medieval silver coinage. |
