| 表面の説明 | Crude bust of King Ferdinand II facing left, crowned with an open crown adorned with fleurs and points, with long hair visible beneath. The effigy is rendered in a rudimentary, archaic style typical of late medieval Catalan hammered coinage. To the right of the bust, the mintmark letter 'B' for Barcelona is prominently displayed in the field. The portrait, though stylistically simplified, conveys regal authority through the crown and draped shoulders. |

Ferdinand II's accession to the Aragonese throne in 1479 coincided with his joint rule of Castile alongside Isabella, but Catalonia remained a constitutionally distinct principality with its own coinage rights — rights the Catalans had fought to preserve through nearly a decade of civil war against Ferdinand's own father, John II. The so-called "rude portrait" designation distinguishes this type from later, more refined busts issued under the same authority, reflecting early workshop execution rather than a deliberate stylistic choice.
