| 背面描述 | Central field features the denomination QUART inscribed within an open laurel and olive wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The abbreviated legend REP. FRA. arcs across the upper field, flanked by small ornamental stops. The date 1806 appears in the exergue below the wreath, with the mint mark letter A positioned to the right within the field. The whole is enclosed within a finely milled border. |

Napoleon's decimal coinage system, introduced under the Germinal law of 1803, was one of the more durable administrative achievements of the Consulate — the franc divisional structure it established survived, with interruptions, well into the twentieth century. The quarter-franc sits at the bottom of that silver hierarchy, and dies for this denomination were distributed across multiple provincial mints simultaneously, making date-mint combinations a genuine collecting variable rather than a trivial one.
The 1806–1807 window corresponds to Napoleon's imperial consolidation following Austerlitz. The Paris house struck these under the A mint mark.
