| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Napoleon I facing right, depicted in the neoclassical style with short cropped hair, occupying the central field. The circular legend NAPOLEON EMPEREUR runs around the periphery. The engraver's signature, TIOLIER, appears incuse below the truncation of the bust. The portrait is rendered with fine detail characteristic of Tiolier's work during the early Imperial period. |
