Reverse description A cross formed by four crowned initials — P, H, and S (with S shared at the center junction) — divides the field into four quarters, each occupied by a large fleur-de-lis. The denomination mark '8 S' appears in the quarters flanking the cross. The date 1577 is placed at the top of the field, divided by the mintmark of a tower. The entire design is contained within an inner circle, with the reverse legend running in the outer ring.
