Obverse description Central field dominated by an elaborate cursive royal cypher of Augustus II, composed of interlaced letters A and R in flowing Baroque script, surmounted by a large Electoral crown with arched bands and jewelled circlet. The monogram, rendered in high relief, fills the majority of the field with ornate calligraphic flourishes. The design is contained within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded outer rim.
