| Reverse description | A monumental Holy Door rendered as a classical architectural portico with a pediment above flanked by two standing saintly figures in niches, one on each side, presented frontally in relief. The central door panel is decorated with a series of diamond-shaped lozenges arranged vertically, symbolising the Jubilee entrance to St. Peter's Basilica. The two flanking saints stand within arched recesses framing the holy door, reflecting the Jubilee indulgence ceremony of 1525. A Latin legend in two lines occupies the lower exergue area, inscribed directly below the architectural scene. |
