Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick William I, King of Prussia, facing right, depicted with a full curled wig in the baroque portrait style typical of early 18th-century German coinage. The effigy shows fine engraving detail in the drapery folds and flowing hair. A beaded inner border frames the design. The circular Latin legend surrounding the portrait reads FRID: WILH: D G REX BORUSS, identifying the monarch as King of Prussia by the grace of God.
