The monogram is surmounted by a ducal crown of high relief. The mintmaster's initials 'G.H.E.' appear in the lower field beneath the cartouche, flanking the base of the design. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible, consistent with the small-module gold coinage of the period. No peripheral legend is present on this face. |
