Obverse description Draped bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, with long flowing hair, set within a beaded inner circle. The legend, reading CAR VI D G R I S A G HI H B REX, commences at approximately 8 o'clock and encircles the effigy. The portrait is rendered in a bold baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century Habsburg coinage, with the emperor depicted in armoured dress. A milled or grained border frames the outer edge of the coin.
