Obverse description Full-length crowned figure of Emperor Charles VI (Charles III of Hungary) standing facing, robed in imperial mantle and armour, holding an orb in the left hand and a sceptre raised in the right hand. The mint mark N·B (Nagybánya) appears divided in the field to either side of the figure. The surrounding legend is arranged in a circular inscription along the coin's periphery, rendered in Latin capitals.

Reverse description The Virgin Mary (Patrona Hungariae) depicted enthroned on clouds in half-length, the Christ Child seated on her left arm with a hand raised in blessing, both figures surrounded by a radiant glory or aureole of flames. Below, the Hungarian arms (a shield divided with the Árpád stripes and the apostolic double cross) surmounted by a crown serves as a base to the composition. The date, with the last two digits split to either side of the shield, appears in the lower field. A circular Latin legend identifying the subject runs along the periphery.
