| Reverse description | A symmetrical laurel and olive wreath, tied at the base with a ribbon bow and surmounted by a small floral ornament, encloses the three-line date inscription ANNO / DOMINI / 1654 in the central field. The inscription is rendered in neat roman lettering with decorative stops between lines. The overall composition is elegant and restrained, consistent with Zürich's refined baroque coinage style of the mid-seventeenth century. A beaded border frames the reverse. |
