背面描述 Central depiction of the ornate Hale Bathhouse facade at Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, rendered in fine relief against a stippled field. The architectural composition features a classical arched entrance with Ionic columns, decorative ironwork, and a large natural stone basin fountain at its base, evoking the park's historic thermal bathing heritage. The legend HOT SPRINGS arcs along the upper periphery, with ARKANSAS inscribed at the lower left and E PLURIBUS UNUM along the lower right. The date 2010 appears at the bottom of the field, flanked by the engravers' initials DE (Don Everhart) at lower left and JFM (Joseph Menna) at lower right. A small National Park Service arrowhead privy mark is present in the right field.

附加信息

The Hot Springs quarter was the first release in the America the Beautiful series, which Congress authorized in 2008 to run through 2021 — five designs per year covering national parks and sites across all fifty states, D.C., and the territories. The five-ounce silver bullion version was an afterthought commercially; the collector proof version sold out almost immediately at the Mint, while the bullion strikes sat unsold long enough to embarrass the program in its debut year.

Hot Springs itself was federally protected as early as 1832, predating the National Park Service by 84 years.
