Aanvullende informatie

Nevada's Great Basin National Park was among the least-visited national parks in the lower 48 at the time of this coin's release — a deliberate choice by the state, which selected it specifically to draw attention to an overlooked gem. The America the Beautiful Quarters Program, launched in 2010, was authorized under Public Law 110-456 and committed the Mint to producing 56 designs over eleven years, covering all fifty states, five territories, and the District of Columbia. Great Basin was Nevada's second quarter in the series, following Hoover Dam in 2012.
