Reverse description A dramatic panoramic view of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona occupies the central field, depicting the layered canyon walls and the Colorado River winding through the canyon floor, rendered in deeply sculpted high relief. The scene is divided between an open vista of the canyon's vast geological strata on the left and a close-up view of the sheer stratified cliff face on the right. The legend GRAND CANYON arcs along the upper rim, with ARIZONA inscribed along the lower left and E PLURIBUS UNUM along the lower right. The date 2010 appears at the bottom center beneath the central design. The composition, designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Joseph Menna, captures the grandeur and geological complexity of one of America's most celebrated natural landmarks.
