Reverse description The reverse field displays a multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in three horizontal registers within a plain inner circle, recording the mint name Siqilliya (Sicily) and the date of issue, following standard Fatimid epigraphic conventions. A double linear border encloses the central legend, with a marginal inscription running along the periphery. The overall design is strictly aniconic, composed entirely of angular Kufic script characteristic of Fatimid quarter-dinar tarì coinage struck in Sicily. The flan is slightly irregular in outline, reflecting the hammered production method.
