| Obverse description | Central square cartouche enclosing a multi-line Arabic religious inscription in bold Maghribi script, with the text densely filling the field. The square is framed by a double linear border, beyond which a marginal inscription in Arabic script runs around the inner ring. The outer border consists of a continuous beaded or dotted cordon encircling the entire design. The overall layout follows the classic Zayyanid square-in-circle format typical of North African medieval gold coinage. |
