Obverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio-engraved view of the Roman Arches of Trajan at the ancient site of Leptis Magna, rendered in dark blue-grey tones against a fine guilloche underprint. To the left, a large rosette guilloche medallion with the fraction numeral '1/4' in a diamond cartouche anchors the design, while Arabic inscriptions naming the issuing authority and denomination appear on the right panel alongside a facsimile signature. A serial number in both Arabic-Eastern and Western numerals is repeated at top left and bottom right.

Reverse description The reverse carries an intaglio-engraved panoramic vignette of the Marzuq Military Fortress (قلعة مرزق), its crenellated mud-brick walls set against a desert landscape with tall date palms, rendered in warm brown tones. The denomination fraction '1/4' appears in a diamond cartouche at lower left, with a large geometric Islamic-pattern medallion in dark brown at right serving as the watermark window. Arabic text identifying the issuing authority runs across the top, and the denomination in Arabic script is repeated along the bottom border, all set within multi-layered ornamental guilloche borders.
