| Obverse description | Central device depicting a stylized pomegranate fruit in full bloom, rendered with a rounded, heavily granulated head atop a slender stem with symmetrically arranged foliage and leaves extending to either side. A small secondary bud appears at lower right of the stem. The date 1860 is inscribed in large numerals along the lower field. The entire design is contained within a toothed or beaded inner border encircling the full perimeter of the coin. |

| Reverse description | The fractional denomination 1/4 is prominently displayed in large numerals at the center of the field, with the fraction bar clearly delineated between the numeral 1 above and 4 below. The mint name BOGOTA arcs in bold capital letters along the upper portion of the legend. Two small caduceus symbols — each depicting a winged staff entwined by serpents — flank the central fraction at left and right, serving as mint or assayer marks. A fine beaded border runs along the inner edge of the coin. |
