Obverse description Armored and crowned bust of King Johan III facing right, depicted with a prominent beard, the crown surmounting a close helmet with visible visor. The effigy is rendered in a bold, slightly crude hammered style typical of late 16th-century Swedish coinage. The legend is divided around the bust in the field, reading partially to the left and right of the portrait. Beaded inner border frames the design.
