| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned and bearded bust of King Johan III facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and royal robes, rendered in a bold hammered style typical of late 16th-century Swedish coinage. The crown is surmounted by a cross. A partial legend in Latin is divided on either side of the royal effigy, with REX to the left and IOHA to the right, separated by pellet stops.
