| Obverse description | Crowned armored half-length effigy of the emperor facing right, holding an imperial orb in one hand and a scepter raised over the opposite shoulder. The figure is rendered in a stylized late-medieval manner characteristic of hammered billon coinage. The portrait is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend running along the outer periphery. The crude hammered execution typical of small Franc-Comtois issues results in irregular flan edges and variable strike quality. |
