| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing draped bust of Emperor Haile Selassie I, wearing an elaborate jewelled crown and richly ornamented imperial robes with a cross pendant at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail typical of a proof pattern strike. A circular Ge'ez legend surrounds the portrait, reading the emperor's full royal title, with the Ethiopian calendar date ፲፱፻፳፫ (1923 E.C. / 1931 AD) inscribed in the lower field. The rim is bordered by a fine dentilated inner circle. |
