Two six-pointed stars flank the lion in the field. A circular Ge'ez legend reading the traditional dynastic motto surrounds the design, with a denomination inscription in Ge'ez script along the lower exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a dentilated border, struck to proof standard with deeply mirrored fields.
