| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Panama in high relief at center, featuring a quartered shield with symbols of the isthmus — crossed swords and rifle in the upper quarters, a cornucopia and shovel in the lower quarters, and a condor with spread wings surmounting the shield. Flanking the shield are sprigs of vegetation on either side.
