| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Panama centered in the field, depicting a quartered shield with a cornucopia, tools, a sword, and a rifle, surmounted by an eagle with spread wings bearing a banner in its beak inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. The shield is flanked by nine stars arranged in an arc above and flags to either side. The curved legend REPÚBLICA DE PANAMA arcs along the upper periphery, with a row of ten five-pointed stars forming a secondary arc below it. The date 2016 appears in the lower exergue. |
