正面描述	The obverse features the national coat of arms of Panama centered in the field, depicting a quartered shield with a cornucopia, tools, a sword, and a rifle, surmounted by an eagle with spread wings bearing a banner in its beak inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. The shield is flanked by nine stars arranged in an arc above and flags to either side. The curved legend REPÚBLICA DE PANAMA arcs along the upper periphery, with a row of ten five-pointed stars forming a secondary arc below it. The date 2016 appears in the lower exergue.

背面描述	The reverse depicts a colorized representation of the SS Ancon, the first vessel to make the official transit of the Panama Canal in 1914, shown in three-quarter perspective sailing through the canal locks. The curved legend UN CUARTO DE BALBOA arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription 1914 PRIMER TRÁNSITO POR EL CANAL DE PANAMÁ runs along the lower and left periphery. The detailed scene commemorates the historic inaugural passage of August 15, 1914.
