| Obverse description | Central field dominated by large Nagari and Persian script characters in bold raised relief, characteristic of the Indo-Persian coinage tradition of the Jodhpur princely state. The legend references the ruling Maharaja Umaid Singh and the regal authority of the state, with ornamental pellets dispersed throughout the field as design elements. A horizontal line divides the field, with additional inscriptions rendered in cursive Nasta'liq-style Arabic script in the lower segment. The overall design follows the Mughal-derived epigraphic style typical of Rajputana feudatory issues of the late colonial period. |
