| Obverse description | Central field bears a Persian-script circular legend reading 'Ba-zaman-i-mubarak George Shah-i-Inglistan Emperor-i-Hindustan' (meaning 'In the auspicious reign of George, King of England, Emperor of India'), accompanied by a Daroga (mint master) mark. The inscription is disposed around the central area and acknowledges the suzerainty of the British Crown under George VI. The styling follows the Indo-Persian epigraphic tradition characteristic of Jodhpur feudatory coinage of the early twentieth century. |
