| Descrizione del dritto |
The obverse features a central field bearing three lines of Arabic script reading 'مسقط' (Muscat) and 'ضربت' (struck), above the Hijri date '١٣١٢' (1312 AH). The central legends are framed by a continuous circular border legend in Latin script reading 'SULTAN FAISAL BIN TURKI IMAM MUSCAT', running around the full circumference of the coin. The design is purely epigraphic in character, with no figurative elements, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition. The coin has no central circle, distinguishing this variety (KM#4.2) from the related type KM#4.1. |

| Descrizione del rovescio |
The reverse displays a five-line Arabic epigraphic legend filling the central field, reading 'وعفا / امام مسقط / بن سلطان / بن سعيد / فيصل بن', giving the full regnal title and genealogy of Sultan Faisal bin Turki. The inscriptions are enclosed within a wreath of palm or laurel branches tied at the base, rendered in low relief and framing the text on both sides. The field is otherwise plain, with no additional ornamental devices. The overall composition is characteristic of the epigraphic coinage tradition employed at the Muscat Mint during the late nineteenth century. |
