| Obverse description | Central field features the Arabic inscription 'مسقط' (Muscat) above the AH date ١٣١٥ (1315), with the denomination '1/4 ANNA' inscribed in Latin letters in the lower exergue. A circular outer legend in Latin reads 'OF MUSCAT AND OMAN FESSUL BEN TURKEE' running around the periphery of the coin. The overall design is plain and typographic in character, with no effigy or figurative devices. |
