Additional information

Jodhpur's copper fractionals of the late 1930s were struck under Umaid Singh, whose reign saw the state navigating increasingly fraught negotiations with the British over the terms of eventual federation. The 1/4 Anna issues of this period were among the last regal coinages produced before Indian independence rendered princely state currency obsolete — most saw only a few years of circulation before being withdrawn.
