| Obverse description | Within a plain inner circle, a rampant lion passant guardant to the left rendered in the Gothic heraldic style, with claws and tongue prominently detailed. The lion occupies the full field of the coin. The surrounding legend, separated from the inner circle by a beaded border, reads in Latin retrograde Gothic lettering and is introduced by an eagle-shaped initial mark serving as the legend's starting point. |
