A central equal-armed cross in which each arm is bifurcated at its terminal end, with a pellet at the tip of each bifurcation, creating a decorative forked effect. From each of the four quadrants formed by the cross arms, thin lines radiate outward from the centre of the cross toward the field, each terminating in a trefoil of three pellets arranged in a triangular pattern. The overall design is contained within a plain, irregular flan typical of hammered medieval coinage. |
