Reverse description Central device depicting the Royal Arms shield surmounted by the Imperial State Crown, rendered in high relief and closely modelled on the historic Guinea coinage design. The quartered shield displays the arms of England (lions passant guardant), France (fleurs-de-lis), Scotland (lion rampant), and Ireland (harp), framed by elaborate acanthus scroll mantling. The surrounding legend reads '1.25 OUNCE · GUINEA · 999 SILVER' arranged along the inner border, with the East India Company monogram mintmark (EIC) appearing at the base of the field. The composition is set against a patterned background of rosette motifs, enclosed within a beaded outer border.
