Reverse description Central motif depicting the Royal Arms quartered shield as used during the reign of Queen Victoria, surmounted by the Imperial State Crown with cross pattée finial. The shield is divided into four quarters bearing the three passant guardant lions of England (first and fourth quarters), the lion rampant of Scotland (second quarter), and the Irish harp (third quarter), all surrounded by elaborate acanthus and floral mantling. The design closely replicates the reverse of the Victorian Gothic crown or shield coinage. A beaded inner border frames the shield, and the circular legend DIRIGE DEUS · GRESSUS MEOS · appears along the outer margin, separated by lozenge stops.
