Obverse description Central device comprising a crowned five-fold quartered coat of arms of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, rendered in an elaborate Baroque cartouche with foliate and scroll mantling. The shield displays the Saxon barry with crowned rampant lion, arranged in the characteristic dynastic composition of the Ernestine line. A ducal crown surmounts the escutcheon. The peripheral Latin legend, separated by a floral ornament, encircles the entire design reading clockwise from the top.
